Professional Growth Coaching Conversations
Learn how to have conversations that move people forward.
The conversations we have at work can shape confidence, performance, relationships and growth.
Whether you're supporting an individual, leading a team or facilitating a group discussion, the ability to create conversations that are thoughtful, psychologically safe and genuinely developmental is a skill that can be learned.
Our coaching and conversation skills programme helps leaders develop the confidence, techniques and professional understanding to create conversations that encourage reflection, build capability and help people move forward.
Bring a coaching approach to everyday leadership.
Designed for leaders who want to take a coaching approach to performance management and appraisals, this practical programme develops the core skills needed to bring a coaching approach to performance-based contexts with confidence.
Delivered by EMCC-accredited coaches and training providers, and aligned with recognised EMCC coaching competencies, the programme combines coaching psychology, professional coaching practice and practical application. Through coaching practice, reflection and feedback, you'll develop the confidence to use coaching skills in appraisals and other performance-management contexts.
Whether you're new to coaching or looking to refresh your skills, you'll gain a strong foundation in internal performance standards-led coaching conversations that you can put into practice immediately.
What you'll develop
You'll learn how to:
create psychological safety from the very start of a conversation
listen more deeply and ask purposeful questions
structure coaching conversations with confidence and and in alignment with your organisation or role-specific standards.
support reflection, insight and action
recognise the ethical responsibilities of coaching
understand how your own beliefs, values and assumptions influence conversations
develop your coaching skills through practice and feedback.
Professionally developed. Immediately applicable.
The programme is grounded in recognised coaching practice and delivered by experienced EMCC-accredited coaches and facilitators. Rather than simply introducing coaching models or theories, you'll develop practical skills through discussion, observation, coaching practice and reflection – giving you the confidence to apply what you've learned straight away, whether you're supporting an individual or leading a group.
