Psychology for Coaching

Bring greater depth to every coaching conversation.

Every coaching conversation is shaped by thoughts, emotions, beliefs, relationships and experiences.

Understanding the psychological theories that influence how people think, behave and respond can help you coach with greater insight, confidence and care. This programme explores the psychology that underpins effective coaching, helping you deepen your understanding of people and bring new perspectives to your coaching practice.

Looking beneath the surface.

People rarely arrive at coaching with straightforward challenges, and often what's presented is only part of the story. By exploring a range of psychological theories and perspectives, you'll develop a richer understanding of the factors that shape behaviour, relationships, motivation and decision-making. Rather than applying theory for theory's sake, you'll learn how psychological thinking can inform your coaching in practical, meaningful ways.

Psychology that supports practice.

This programme bridges theory and application. Through discussion, reflection and practical examples, you'll explore how psychology can help you make sense of complex coaching situations, deepen your observations and respond more thoughtfully to the people you work with. The emphasis is on developing insight rather than diagnosis – helping you become more curious, reflective and psychologically informed in your coaching.
